First of all, please visit this Cuteify experiment from the Exploratorium. That cuteified hammer lives rent-free in my head. Please keep it in mind as you browse these images. You should also know that I know basically nothing about cars; this is just the cute hammer experiment but for cars I've seen around me.
Okay let's look at some pictures.
Cutest little guy and so handsome! I love the rounded sides and absolutely massive eyes (headlights — you know).
The star of the hit movie Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) with Lindsay Lohan!!
Have you ever seen a rounder creature? What an improbable creation. There are absolutely no edges or corners on this thing. I feel like it must be three curved plates that they just click together in assembly.
By the way, this is a bowl of three ice cream scoops.
. . .
ANYWAY
Compact king!! You look as if you're perhaps modeled out of clay!
I found this while looking for the Fiat I'm used to and WHAT IS THIS?? I'm going to put that thing in my mouth!!
Where are you going in such a hurry in your tiny car?? You've been squished, sir!
It's not all about the smallest car. He's a little bigger than the other guys, but shoutout to the Bus, he's so handsome and doing such a good job. Wouldn't you like to take a field trip in here and drive singing songs into the sunset?
There's a street where all the mail trucks go to sleep and these guys look so polite parked there next to their big brothers.
I can't handle these motion blur photos. THEY ARE NOT GOING THAT FAST
And this Canada Post one looks so great:
A historical one. "For more than a decade many U.S. letter carriers made their daily rounds in vehicles that could be immobilized by three inches of snow, tip over if driving around a corner more than 25 mph, caught in a wind gust, or even by large dogs jumping on them." LARGE DOGS! A GUST OF WIND!!
I have to admit I'm more drawn to the rounder shapes, but these are also very very good.
The last few cars are a little bit more normal-looking, but they have cute butts/noses/faces.
I also love the angle of this image. It looks like it's dancing in a cool music video that they've filmed with a fisheye lens.
I had to spend some time looking for the right photos for these, because too many photos featured cars that were ~expertly staged~ and polished to within an inch of their lives and photographed from the ground up to look big and strong, but that's not real. What's real is the tiny little Smart car just parked on the street, practically hidden by the monster of an SUV in front of it, but you know what? They got that parking spot and they looked cute doing it.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk!
Now go forth and observe cute cars in the wild!!
People have been sending EVEN MORE CUTE CARS AND HERE THEY ARE
WHO IS THAT?? I'm obsessed!
Something about these cars really reminds me of an ice cream sandwich.
Or a tiny elephant!!
And here are some links to look at more cars like these because I'm sure there are lots more! Thank you for submitting suggestions!
